For this instalment of In The Lab we went full Hip-Hop. Summer is almost over and we wanted to honour some of the great tracks of 2016.

It isn't every day that an opportunity to work with a great Canadian brand presents itself. Often times agencies like ours will seek ways to get our name out there and in this case, we were approached by a brand many Canadians know and love in regards to a sponsorship opportunity with the Pfaff Motorsports race team.
Just this passed weekend I was selected to take part in a 2.5 day challenge to end drunk driving put forth by the good people at Budweiser and Brainstation. I have to say I was very impressed by the level of organization and how much heart these companies put into this cause.
Our good friends over at Printed by Somerset approached us just before the holidays and expressed their want to work together on a collaboration between our design talent and ability to do something different and their printing and production skills in the form of a Holiday card.
We hope you’re in the mood for some high hats. We love the sound of high hats, and it gets the best of us every time. Because of that, we chose to include Electronic Hip Hop for the first half of the playlist. Though we highly recommend giving them a listen, not to worry for the non high-hats fans. The second half is for you.
DesignThinkers is the largest Canadian annual design conference hosted by RGD (Registered Graphic Designers). With over 50 guest speakers including Karim Rashid, Frank Chimero and many other industry leaders, DesignThinkers truly lives up to its hype.
Working with the team at BlackList Rally was a fantastic project for more than a few reasons. Not only did we have creative freedom when creating this brand from the ground up, we also got to work with great people and a fleet of some of the nicest cars out there. The good people at BlackList Rally approached us and asked for a complete solution to their event.
Much like In The Lab 001, we are still in the multi-genre mood. We hope you are too!
As many of you designers out there know, creating a brand isn’t the easiest task in the world; not by a long shot. Tons of research and planning goes into every decision we make as creatives and more often than not this process is overlooked but continues to be what separates the good designers from the “I made this in five minutes, why can’t you?” types of people.
Introducing our new music series where we will be sharing sounds that we tend to listen to in the studio while we are inspired. Some songs are new, some songs are old, but all songs are great. World meet In The Lab, In The Lab meet world. What better way to introduce our ‘In The Lab’ series than in the start of Fall; where let's be honest, music sounds the best. Hopefully In The Lab can introduce some new sounds to you.
